The MP4 version works fine, though it's fairly low-resolution.
But the MPEG-2 version is incomplete. It runs 57 minutes, whereas the MP4 version is ~1h 12min. Also, because of this, the subtitles don't display properly in the MPEG-2 version.
I tried both the download version of the MPEG-2 and the torrent version. Both have the same problem.
If you want to watch this film at relatively high-resolution, then download the subtitles from this page, and then do a search here on Archive.org for "Princess Iron Fan". There's another version on another page that's in DiVX format (file size is about ~1GB). Download that file, then load the subtitles you got from this page. Not sure if the subtitles match up 100% though, but that should be pretty easy to fix.

This movie may not have the best production values, but given the time and circumstances under which it was made it is very impressive. Large parts have been done with rotoscoping (painting over live video footage). This was probably a money saver, and it gives the movie a bit of a weird touch.
I love the style of Sun Wukong (the Monkey King), he's basically a five-year-old with superpowers. The singalongs (with bouncing ball) are also very awsome.
Since there are no English subtitles for this movie I am working on an English translation at http://foolip.org/wiki/Princess_Iron_Fan, join to help out if you can!
